Marlene Bennett of Carpinteria and Kenneth Rife of Temecula were married on Oct. 10 at the Sunken Gardens in Santa Barbara. The bride was given in marriage by her father Tod Bennett and the ceremony was officiated by Judge Brian Hill. The wedding reception was held at the Miramar Beach House, and music was performed by harpist Laurie Rasmussen.
The daughter of Tod and Debra Bennett of Carpinteria, Marlene is a graduate of Carpinteria High School, Class of 2009, and is now employed by Coast 2 Coast Collection. The groom, Kenneth, is the son of Carol and Carey Rife of Temecula. He graduated from UCSB in 2009 and is now the director of operations for BlueStar Parking.
For their honeymoon, the newlyweds will visit Sonoma for wine tasting and boating in Lake Havasu.
