Dogs and their owners crowded at Monte Vista Dog Park on Saturday, April 20 for the off-leash dog park’s grand opening, celebrating with free hot dogs and a day of play.
The grand opening for off-leash fenced-off area – which is located at the north end of Bailard Avenue – was hosted by the Carpinteria Dog Owners Group (C-DOG) and the city of Carpinteria. C-DOG President Van Fleisher told CVN earlier this month that after eight years of asking the city for an off-leash dog park, the group was very excited about the Monte Vista spot.
The park is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 30 minutes before sunset.
